We flew to Cairns in the morning and just right after lunch, we were driving to Trinity Beach using a rented Pajero.
As long as you have the GPS and a full tank, you need not be afraid to get lost.
TRINITY BEACH
We stayed at The Bellevue at Trinity Beach which is being managed by a very nice couple Jim and Doreen. We got a big apartment type unit with 2 bedrooms. The unit is complete with living room, dining area, a nice kitchen and a big balcony overlooking the pool and the sea.

Doreen presented to us all possible options on what we can do around the area. It was quite difficult to decide as we arrived there on the onset of a typhoon. There were even floods in some parts of the country. We decided we would like to go to Kuranda. She was very helpful in booking the tour we took the following day.
We drove to the Freshwater Railway Station in the morning to catch the train — the Kuranda Scenic Railway. It’s a journey of 1 hr. 45 mins. from Cairns going up to the village in the rainforest called Kuranda. Along the way, you will go through the tropical rainforest, passing along Stoney Creek Falls and Barron Falls lookout.
Barron Falls
We spent the rest of the day strolling around the Kuranda Village, buying souvenirs, eating ice cream, feeding Wallabies and having photos with Koalas.
Going down from Kuranda Village back to Freshwater Station, we used the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway to Caravonica Terminal. An overcast sky, rain and wind had given me the scariest ride of my life. It was zero visibility and the occasional gust of wind made the cablecar sway!
The following day was a busy one. We had breakast at the Blue Moon Grill then headed to the direction going to Daintree.
Our itinerary:

Hartley’s Crocodile Adventure
Four Mile Beach
Daintree
Mossman Gorge
Then finally our last stop at Cairns before driving back to Trinity Beach. We had dinner at Outback Jacks.
Yummy steak!
