February 28,2009 (Saturday) At 6:30AM, I was already on the way to pick up Danette. After which, we proceeded to pick up Rowena and meet Maryrose at Pancake House in Macapagal Ave for breakfast. Some things change, some don’t. Rowena was on time and Maryrose was late as usual. He he he.
The last time we had breakfast together was during the 4th Year retreat in Tagaytay. That was a loooong time ago. Now, we were all happy to do it again!

And here’s a first for us — a road trip to Cavite. We were never together in one car driving out of town. Even it was just in this nearby town, it was a thrill for us trying to find our way to Silang, Cavite where Gazelle invited us for the baptism of her little angel named Grecian Vella. It didn’t take us long to find the place but we did get lost.
The baptism was held at Nuestra Senora de Candelaria Parish in Silang, Cavite. Why in Cavite? Vincent’s family has an ancestral house there beside the hospital their family also owns.

Grecian Vella is another Gazelle Jr. She was born last January 18 of this year. Vella was an early blessing received by Vincent and Gazelle for Year 2009. We all wish the best for this little angel. She’s a new playmate for Anja and Tiara. Can’t wait to see you grow little Vella!
GMDRICH

We’ve been friends since high school. We started in first year — me, Danette and Rowena. Gazelle, Maryrose and Irish joined when we were in our Sophomore year. It was Maryrose who coined this GMDRICH from the first letter of our names : GAZELLE – MARYROSE – DANETTE – ROWENA – IRISH – CLAUDETTE (who moved to another group after) – HERSCHELLE.
There were the memories from high school that we can only laugh when we reminisce those good old times.
We feel like we only grew older, added some weight and some lines but when we are together, it feels like high school times as we chatter and laugh aloud like teens. During the drive to Cavite, I have to turn off my music. We don’t need it. Just one of us talking was enough to fill the whole car. Imagine there were four of us simultaneously talking!
These are the girls I can really call my friends. I’ve been through a lot even as we were teens and I would always run to them for comfort. And these girls were the very same ones who were at my side in the difficult times of my adult life. I am proud to say I kept what I consider the best company for me. 22 years of friendship and I am thankful for that. I pray that this same friendship remains for as long as we live.
I love these girls !
